BOOK SET


The Beat Generation was a social and literary movement that took place in 50’s.
Beat artists rejected conventanionality along the capitalistic feature of American life.


The Beat movement praised the expression of free-flowing thoughts and ideas, incorporating the use of drugs, sexuality, and the experimental nature of jazz music into their work.


I chose to redesign a set of  three counterculture literary classics through collage, which I think visually represents the free-form / stream of conscious beats’ technique.
I aimed to capture the essence of the subculture in accordance to each of the books theme.
